The Naked World and Armageddon

And they both were naked, the man ands his wife, and were not ashamed” – (Gen.2:25).

And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons. And he said, I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself. And he said, who told thee that thou wast naked? Hast thou eaten of the tree, whereof I commanded thee that thou shouldest not eat? Unto Adam also and to his wife did the Lord God make coats of skins, and clothed them” – (Gen.3:7,10,11,21).

For he hath clothed me with the garments of salvation, he hath covered me with the robe of righteousness…” – (Is.61:10).

And white rainment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear…” – (Rev.3:18).

Behold, I came as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame. And he gathered them together into a place called in the Hebrew tongue Armageddon” – (Rev.16:15,16).

We are living in a wicked, naked world that will get more and more wicked and naked leading up to Armageddon. God has called me to be His Bible Watchman and I’m watching the increasing public undressing of America and the rest of the world. Nothing shows us the state of our wickedness more than nakedness. Nakedness is not only a sin, it’s a metaphor for sin.

I quote the USA Today newspaper (May 7, 2007) – “About 18,000 naked Mexicans stretched out on the cold flagstones of Mexico City’s main plaza on Sunday to be photographed by Spencer Tunick, an American ‘artist’ known for shooting crowds of nudes. The turnout dwarfed Tunick’s previous personal record of 70000 nudes, set in Spain in 2003. The shoot had the feel of a rock concert. What a great moment for the Mexican art scene, Tunick, 40, told reporters after the shoot. “All eyes should look south, from the U.S. to Mexico City – to see how a country can be free and treat the naked body in art.” Tunick finished just in time for the 8:30 a.m. mass at the Metropolitan Cathedral which overlooks the plaza.” Tunick has gone around the world to take pictures of naked people – he’s an emissary of Satan.

The shame of nakedness is the first consequence of sin. Sin and nakedness go together. When Adam and his wife sinned, their eyes were opened and they realized that they were naked and were ashamed to appear before the Lord God. In their sinless state though they were naked, they were not ashamed because they were married. They tried to cover their nakedness with their own good works of fig leaves. But the Lord Jesus, the Lamb of God, the gift of God’s grace, died for us and shed His blood that we might be clothed with the garments of salvation and covered with God’s robe of righteousness – (Is.61:10). Christ is God’s atonement, God’s covering for the nakedness of sin. Sin makes a man naked before God, but salvation in Christ clothes him in the righteousness of Christ and justifies him in the sight of God.

God is watching this sinful, wicked, naked world that is ripening for His judgment – “Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do” – (Heb.4:13). All things are naked before God’s eyes. There is nothing covered, for all coverings are as Adam’s fig leaves. God cannot be deceived. He is omniscient – his eyes see all. He looks into the thoughts and hearts of men today. Jesus said – “…from within, out the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lasciviousness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness: All these evil things come from within, and defile the man” – (Mk.7:21-23). God is looking down at His world today and sees it as it was in the days of Noah. God saw that the wickedness of man was great – “And that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually” and God destroyed man form the face of the earth with a flood. At Armageddon God will destroy this earth again, only with fire – (2 Pet.3:5-10).

What we are seeing today with our naked world is the outward manifestation of sinful, wicked hearts. People are getting so wicked that they have no shame to be naked in public and be photographed for the world to see – they are shameless. They have “Their conscience seared with a hot iron” – (I Tim.4:2). “Were they ashamed when they had committed abomination? Nay, they were not at all ashamed, neither could they blush…” – (Jer.6:15). All this nakedness today could not be done except your conscience is seared with a hot iron, cauterized and deadened to the word of God’s truth. And they are only too easy to be deceived by words like ‘art’ that allows them to be naked in public.

And a U.S. citizen form Brooklyn, N.Y. is the one seducing people worldwide to be photographed naked. Listen to his deceitful words that he hisses out – “To see how a country can be free and treat the naked body as art. Not as pornography or as a crime, but with happiness and caring.” Yes – Satan’s emissary. Hollywood and TV and rock stars have been seducing the world with their nakedness in front of cameras as ‘artists’ for decades. Our youths are showing more and more skin following these devil stars. Many of the men who pose naked in Mexico City had secret cameras and took photos of the naked women. And then they went to Catholic mass immediately after the shoot. O the hypocrites in our pulpits and churches today. Where are the men of God with courage to preach against this wickedness and preach the naked truth of God’s Word?

God is showing us the truth with ‘Tunick’s’ name. Tunic was a garment worn by people of ancient Greece and Rome and also worn by women and clergy today. Tunick is an artist alright – a ‘con artist’ who’s conning you to become naked.

In the Bible, clothes or the absence (nakedness) serve to represent the spiritual condition of humans before the eyes of God. After a person is saved and born again they are to dress modestly – “In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array” - (I Tim.2:9). A true Christian lady dresses modestly, not copying the sexy and sinful styles of this wicked world. She doesn’t wear suggestive clothes to attract men. It is sin for women to dress in such a way to create lust in the minds of men. She covers her nakedness because she’s saved and has Christ’s robe of righteousness.

Jesus died naked on the cross so that we could be covered with His robe of righteousness and be saved. He bare the shame of sin for us – bare naked.

The naked church in the Bible is Laodicea and stands for present-day U.S. “Because thou sayest, I am rich and increased with goods, and have need of nothing. And knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked; and I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich: and white rainment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear…” – (Rev.3:18). The good church of Philadelphia stands for our nation during the first 300 years but during the last 100 years we’ve fallen downward to the worse church – Laodicea. The U.S.A. was born in Philadelphia and will die in Laodicea. Philadelphia is the birthplace of the U.S. and was our nation’s capital during our colonial days. There we signed the Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution.

But now we’ve gotten rich and increased with goods and now we serve mammon and not God – “Ye cannot serve God and mammon” – (Mt.6:24). Our Laodicean Churches are filled with unsaved church members whose souls are naked. They have never been born again and been covered with Christ’s robe of righteousness. And now the U.S. church is in its final stage of apostasy and people are dressing immodestly. They are worldly churches, ands so they dress like the world. Before long, during the great tribulation, these Laodicean church members will become as naked on the outside as they are on the inside.

The Bible tells us that during the great tribulation, that culminates in the battle of Armageddon, that worldly people will be naked. The Lord Jesus will return like a thief in the night and catch them naked – “Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame – (Rev.16:1). Jesus returns like a thief in the night at Armageddon and the world is unexpectedly caught naked outwardly as well as inwardly, physically as well as spiritually. Nakedness is the worse possible condition to be in when Christ returns – caught like a naked person committing fornication or adultery. Caught in spiritual fornication and worshipping the image of the Beast, but caught in physical nakedness as well. And certainly we can plainly see this coming with thousands of people worldwide posing naked already. Caught unsaved with a naked soul and 666 in their foreheads or right hands and undressed. O, the shame of sin, spiritually and physically naked.

Just check on women’s swim suits the last 100 yrs. and watch the nakedness appear – from total coverage to the bikini. The bikini was named after the Bikini Islands where the U.S. tested H-bombs and shows a fiery Armageddon. It’s taken the devil a long time to get people totally naked, but he finally did it in the 21st century. Armageddon comes soon.

O the shame of sin. The shame that comes upon you when your sins find you out. When your sin becomes public and you lose your good name or your spouse or your job or your house or your children or even go to jail. And many times it’s a naked sin, like adultery or fornication or incest or sodomy that brings this shame upon you. Be sure your sins will find you out.

Naked on the outside shows the nakedness on the inside. These shameless, naked people are showing the universe that they’ve not saved and that their sins are not forgiven and covered by Christ – “Saying, blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered. Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin” – (Rom.4:7,8). God’s beloved Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, is God’s blood atonement, God’s covering for the nakedness of sin. “And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement” – (Rom.5:11).

Our Savior shed His blood and hung on the cross naked for sin, so that we could have forgiveness of sins and have our sins covered and blotted out from the eyes of a holy and righteous God. Our curse of sin is turned into a blessing through Christ when we’re saved and born again. Christ naked on the cross shows us clearly the shame of sin in the eyes of God. He bare the shame of sin for us – bare naked. “Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame…” – (Heb.12:2).

If you’re not saved, then your sins are open and naked in the sight of God, you have no covering. Repent of your sins and by faith believe on Christ in your heart and you will receive forgiveness of sins and atonement and a covering. Whosoever calls upon the Lord Jesus with a contrite and repentant heart in truth will be saved – “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved” – (Rom.10:13). Become the wife of Christ – “And to her was granted that she should be arranged in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints” – (Rev.19:8).

Watch the naked world and Armageddon.
