Measuring the tribulation temple
“And there was given me a reed like unto a rod: and the angel stood, saying, Rise, and measure the temple of God, and the altar, and them that worship therein” – (Rev.11:1).
here is the rebuilt temple in
The Lord instructs John to measure the temple and the altar and them that worship therein. God is showing us that he is the judge of man’s worship and man’s character. God will measure the Jews who build this temple and don’t measure up to bible standards. God will measure this temple in truth. Yes, the bible says the tribulation temple will be built but it’s not of God, but of the devil. Christ won’t be in the temple – antichrist will. The temple is the synagogue of Satan. The altar and the worshippers are evil and not good.
Jews enter their rebuilt temple, God’s measuring rod falls upon them in a
special way. It is safe to say they will not measure up.
It’s the difference between the Old Testament and New Testament. The Old Testament temple and it’s outward beauty and fancy – robed priests and the New Testament temple made of saved, sanctified people with the Holy Ghost in them, living holy lives. The inward appearance to a God who is concerned with measuring hearts not bldgs. The New International Perversion says “Go and measure the temple of god and the altar, and count the worshippers there.” Notice- not measure the worshippers – but count them. Sounds like our big Christian temples today and the big numbers who worship there. Instead of measuring holy lives, they count heads and hypocritically believe they’re successful. Worldly churches measuring the buildings of wood and stone while God is measuring his true temple of born again people made of flesh and bone. “For the lord seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the Lord looketh on the heart” – (I Sam.16:7). God’s measuring rod shows not how beautiful you are or how tall or how slim or how rich or how important you are. His measuring rod shows how big a sinner you are and whether you’re saved by Christ or not. He measures everyone by Jesus Christ – the measure of the fullness of Christ.
But God’s spiritual measurement in the Old Testament is clearly seen also with his law and the commandments that the people were to measure up to. When each of them failed to measure up then they were sinners and they needed a blood sacrifice to atone for their sins. This is what (Rev.11:1) means when it says to measure the altar. – speaking of sacrifices. Jesus Christ Is God’s perfect, sinless, blemishless sacrifice for sin for Jew and Gentile. There is no longer need of an Old Testament temple and animal sacrifices. “Who needeth not daily as these high priests, to offer up sacrifice, first for his own sins, and then for the people’s: for this he did once, when he offered up himself” – (Heb.7:27). “But this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down on the right hand of God” – (Heb.10:12).
woe to the Jew and these so-called
Christian ministers who help them build this antichrist temple of rejection and
start their sacrifices on the altar again which are done away with in Christ.
They totally repudiate Christ’s sacrifice on the cross and God’s New Testament
(Covenant). This tribulation temple and altar of sacrifice and worshippers will
be the most antichrist and blasphemous act ever done on earth. No wonder
antichrist will be worshipped in it. And the wrath of God’s Lamb will fall upon
them and antichrist will stop the sacrifices and his armies will besiege

We see in
(John 2) the blind Jewish priesthood and a desecrated temple. We see the wrath
of the Lamb at his second coming and his rod instead of a whip – after
measuring the defiled temple again. And this antichrist tribulation temple will
not stand. The rod of God, the Lord Jesus, is coming again in judgment and he
will measure. The Jew’s temple was razed
to the ground 37 years after the true
coming chapter of (Mt.24) begins this way – “And
Jesus went out, and departed from the temple: and his disciples came to him for
to shew him the buildings of the temple. And Jesus
said unto them, See ye not all these
things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left
here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down. And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately,
saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what
shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?” – (Mt.24:1-3). When shall these things be (when
the temple is destroyed) and Jesus’ second coming and the great tribulation
period are joined in this question. The destruction of
written in (2 Cor.8:23) “Titus, he is my partner and fellowhelper.”
In obedience to Christ they went out preaching two by two. Paul and Titus – two
yokefellows – two witnesses for Christ. A Jew and a Greek – that’s what the
church is made of. How much better it is to be a preacher Titus than to be an

killed the Jews. Preacher Titus built up the

Paul said in (I Cor.4:21) “What will ye? Shall I come unto you with a rod, or in love and the spirit of meekness?” Jesus will come again. But the Jews, as well as the Gentiles, have the choice how he comes unto them. With the rod of his wrath or love. The decision rests with them. If they will repent of their sins and receive Christ as their sacrifice for their sins – then he will come unto them in love. But if they continue to reject him, Christ will come unto them with a rod of wrath. That is what the measuring rod of God will determine. Turn by faith to the Savior Jesus Christ and repent of your sins and believe on Christ in your heart – and thou shalt be saved. Then you will be a part of God’s true temple. – Amen and Amen.
