Forbidding Interracial Marriage in Church:
A Doctrine of Devils
“Now the spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils: speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron; forbidding to marry,...” (I Tim.4:1-3).
“Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons.” (Acts ).
“God hath showed me that I should not call any man common or unclean.” (Acts ).
“For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and broken down the middle wall of partition between us.” – (Eph.2:14).
“And Miriam and Aaron spake against Moses because of the Ethiopian woman he had married: for he had married an Ethiopian woman.” – (Num.12:1).
hypocrisy and a doctrine of devils to forbid to marry saved people of different
races. These verses of scripture speak expressly to the church in the

And the real hypocrisy of this wicked sin is that it’s not
interracial marriage that is forbidden by them, it’s intermarriage between
blacks and whites. The policy is not enforced to forbid an Italian from
marrying a German, as is the case with me and my wife. Some of these churches
are so full of pride they even boast of their whites-only membership to their
great shame. Segregated churches are the last bastion of racism in
The most important thing to remember is that the bible forbids interreligious marriage – not interracial marriage. Scripture forbids a saved believer form marrying an unbeliever. God’s truth is consistent from one end of the Bible to the other. The scripture forbids interreligious marriage, not the marriage of different races and especially not the marriage of different skin colors. Many of these preachers who forbid interracial marriage will marry somebody who is unscripturally divorced, which is clearly forbidden in the bible. As it is written – “And I say unto you, whosoever shall put away his wife, except it be for fornication, and shall marry another, committeth adultery: and whoso marrieth her which is put away doth commit adultery.” – (Mt.19:9). “And if a woman shall put away her husband, and be married to another, she commiteth adultery.” – (Mk.10:12).
In (Ex.34:10-16) we see God forbidding the Jews
form marrying the people of the nations around them. The reason given was that
it would cause
(Du.7:1-6) forbids marriage with unbelievers, “For they will turn away thy son from following me, that they may serve other gods.” (vs.4). King Solomon’s downfall was for marrying Gentile wives who turned his heart to worship false gods. In (I Kings 11:1-10) we see this tragedy especially in (vs.4) “His wives turned away his heart after other gods.” So we see plainly that interreligious marriage was forbidden and not interracial marriage.
Some people have used (Lev.19:19) to forbid interracial marriage. It’s about breeding livestock and to make this apply to human marriage is foolishness. It
leads to trying to breed a purebred superman Aryan race like Hitler. They can’t seem to see the verse above it in (vs.18) “Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.” And that’s what an unsaved bigot cannot do. Our churches are filled with unsaved, unregenerate people. Even in our Bible-preaching churches 75% are not saved. No wonder that pressure is put on pastors to preach false doctrines. Don’t you believe that the second great commandment is of much greater importance than learning how to be better livestock breeders?
A preacher has no right to tell you who to date or marry except when it’s with unbelievers. No preacher has grounds to exercise such authority over people’s lives. They should teach and preach God’s word and when they go beyond the Bible, they overstep the authority God has given them.
These preachers have been taught this doctrine of devils in the Bible Colleges and not by the Holy Spirit. Woe, woe, woe upon these Bible Colleges that spew out this racial hatred and prejudice and teach thousands of young men to start all-white churches.
Racial bigotry is not just unconstitutional, it’s a sin and it must be repented of or God’s wrath will fall upon U.S. God has given the church nearly 200 years, from before the Civil War, to repent of this sin. God’s grace and patience is about to run out.
There are no true bloodlines on earth today. We are all mongrels and mixed since Adam and Eve. The Bible says we are all one blood – “And hath made of one blood all nations of men for to dwell on all the face of the earth…” – (Acts ). There is no such thing as a pure white race or black race. We are in one sense, therefore, all of one race, if we trace our roots back to Adam and Eve. We all have the same mother and father. But especially those that are saved in Christ – part of the bride of Christ. How dare some preacher preaching this doctrine of devils, forbid to marry two people who are saved. “For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond or free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.” – (Gal.3:26 & 28). We are blood brothers by the new birth. That’s the only bloodline we need. The blood of Christ.
In (Num.12:1-16) we see the most important place in the Old Testament concerning intermarriage between
blacks and whites. (verse 1) says – “And Miriam and Aaron spake against Moses because of the Ethiopian woman he had married: for he had married an Ethiopian woman.” And it is written in (vs.9 & 10) – “And the anger of the Lord was kindled against them: and he departed. And the cloud departed from off the tabernacle; and behold Miriam became leprous, white as snow: and Aaron looked upon Miriam, and behold, she was leprous.” Moses married a black Ethiopian woman and Aaron and Miriam, Moses’ brother and sister, were filled with the same racial prejudice we see in the U.S today. Miriam was plagued by God with white skin leprosy for her white skin sin. It’s sin not skin. – the inward, not the outward that God looks at. As it is written in (I Sam.16:7) – “For the Lord seeth not as man seeth: for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the Lord looketh on the heart.” God wants a heart washed as white as snow in the blood of Christ, not a white skin. If you’re saved by the Lord Jesus Christ, then you’re accepted into Christ’s church. Oh, what kind of a judgment day will these segregated preachers have when they meet Christ.
I believe, that in the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, Moses married a black wife, (And God was careful not to say black woman, but Ethiopian woman, and stayed away from skin color). Certainly as Moses is the symbol of the law and stands for the Old Testament, God was showing us that God is no respecter of persons and so neither should we. (Lev.19:15, Du.1:17, 2 Sam.14:19, 2 Chr.19:7, Prov.24:23, Prov.28:21, Rom.2:11, Eph.6:9, Col. 3:15, James 2:1 and 9, I Pet.1:17 and Acts ) says – “That God is no respecter of persons.” It is God himself that created man in a rainbow of colors. Moses, as the symbol of the law and with a black wife, shows us that no racial laws should be passed against interracial marriage and there certainly should be none in the church either. God was looking down through the history of man on earth and teaching us this vital fact – there is to be no racial prejudice and bigotry and segregation with the children of God.
Not only does God mention here that Moses
married an Ethiopian woman (twice for emphasis – so you won’t miss it and to
show its importance) but in the same vs. you see that it was Moses’ family that spoke
against this marriage – and it’s the family yet today. Education and passing
laws won’t eradicate racism because it’s a sin and only repentance can
eradicate it. Zipporah, Moses’ black wife, was
accepted by God because her religion was not wrong. Her father Jethro worshipped the true God (See Ex.18:10-27). Jethro, Moses’ father-in-law, was a wise and godly man. Moses had an interracial marriage but not an interreligious
one. Moses and his family would be forbidden membership and marriage in
many churches in
In (Acts 8:26-40) we see God’s angel giving specific instructions to Philip the evangelist to go and preach to the Ethiopian eunuch who was opening up his heart to the Bible, and Philip showed him God’s truth of Christ in (Is.53) and the black man believed and was saved and baptized. (Many preachers wouldn’t preach to this black man today). This black man was the first Gentile saved in the early church before Cornelius the Roman Centurion. This was certainly in the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God. It shows that in the church in the New Testament, as with Moses in the Old Testament, that God was no respecter of persons and that there is to be no racism in the church. As Peter was taught by God in (Acts 10) when God was officially bringing the Gentiles into the church, that God is no respecter of persons and that we should call no man common or unclean.
In (Acts 8) we have a son of the racial family of Ham saved. In (Chap.9) we have Paul being saved, a son of the racial family of Shem. And in (Chap.10) we have Cornelius, a Roman of the racial family of Japheth saved. The three great racial families of man are now made one in the family of God – the Church.
In (Eph.2:11-22) we see the Jews and Gentiles, and that includes all of us, are made one in Christ. (verse 14) says – “For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us.” God has broken down the wall of separation and segregation between blacks and whites who are saved and yet many churches build this ugly racial barrier up again and refuse church membership and marriage between blacks and whites. They refuse to love the brethren with a black skin and instead they stare at the black person and say, “Guess who’s coming to church.” In one church that I preached a revival in, a black man came into the church on a church bus and one man said – “The devil just walked in.” The whole revival was stopped cold. Shame on the church. The wall is still in their hearts. – Amen.
The blood of Christ breaks down all racial
barriers. The color of your skin makes no difference. White, brown, red,
blacks, all are one in Christ. We have been made one new man and we should have
peace. A man may have skin as black as pitch and if he’s born again, he’s my
brother. A man may have skin as white as snow, but if he’s not saved, he’s not
my brother. We are something new now. We are in Christ – a new man. This is the
church that God is building today. You may throw a black out of your
whites-only church, but you can never throw him out of the true

The segregated church must repent of its’ racial sins and stop hindering the work of the Lord. God’s grace has about run out. Take heed to this watchman’s trumpet. Your blood is on your own head.
If you’re not born again in Christ, I plead with you to repent of your sins and believe on Christ in your heart and be saved – no matter what race or color you are. Become the bride of Christ. That’s the greatest marriage you can ever have. – Jesus Christ will never forbid to may you. – (Rev.22:17) “And the spirit and the bride say, Come.”
Did you ever wonder why, the rainbow arcs the sky?
God’s rainbow is a kaleidoscope view ever changing colors in heaven and earth too.
See that prism arc after the rains came
Well, God made people on this earth the same
If God’s peace, after the rain is no comfort to you
Then the kaleidoscope of people God put on earth are out of view too.
Red, yellow, blue, brothers in the sky
Why all this prejudice on earth – why? why? why?
People – red, yellow, black and white
We are all precious in God’s sight
Red, yellow, black and white – God loves all of you
We are God’s rainbow here on earth
A prism of color from birth
Just as a rainbow without color would not be a pleasing view
Is why God made us all in living color true
So now consider this paradox when God’s rainbow you view.
