“And the fourth angel poured out his vial upon the sun: and power was given unto him to scorch men with fire. And men were scorched with great heat, and blasphemed the name of God, which hath power over these plagues: and they repented not to give him glory” – (Rev.16:8,9).
There is a much more ‘inconvenient truth’ than Al Gore’s video about global warming and that’s the inconvenient truth of God’s Word especially in the book of Revelation. There is going to be global warming when the wrath of God falls upon the world during the great tribulation and it’s coming soon.
This global warming is the fourth plague of the seven last plagues of the wrath of God upon this earth. The whole earth is scorched with fire and great heat, but as terrible as it is, it is nothing compared to the seventh and last plague called Armageddon – (Rev.16:16-21). The fourth plague of global warming is just a ‘warm up’ for Armageddon. When I played in basketball games we put on warm-up jackets to warm-up before the game, but when the game started we took off the jacket because we got plenty sweated and heated up during the real thing. So it is here during the fourth plague of the tribulation. The air conditioners will be useless against such heat.
God’s power of the sun is greatly increased and it becomes so hot that men are “scorched with great heat.” God will make changes in the atmosphere or in some of the other laws of nature so the heat of the sun becomes more intense and scorches men. All God would need to do is to pull earth a little closer to the sun – not much – just enough for men to barely survive. Maybe the temperature will rise to 150 or 160 degrees which would cause fires and make it scorching hot – amen. This is very, very ‘inconvenient truth’ and it’s not accepted by most of the world today. It’s only convenient to the born again saint of God who believes God’s Word of truth and knows that what God does is perfectly just. “Thy word is truth” – (Jn.17:17).
The great tribulation will be a time when most of the world denies
Christ and receives Antichrist instead. They will deny the truth and receive
the lie. Remember Peter’s fiery time of trial when he ‘warmed’ himself at the
fire in the palace of the high priest and denied the Lord three times and began
to curse and swear. So here when God heats up the earth, instead of repenting
of their sins, they blaspheme God. It is written of Peter – “And Peter followed him afar off, even into
the palace of the high priest: and he sat with the servants, and warmed himself at the fire. And when
she saw Peter warming himself, she looked upon him, and said, And thou also wast with Jesus of
And no doubt there will be some of the tribulation saints who will deny Christ, but like Peter they will repent and refuse to get the mark of the beast. They will be afraid and turn cowardly and like Peter at the time of the second coming of Christ which may be early in the morning at the time of cock-crowing – (Mk.13:25). “Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take head lest he fall” – (I Cor.10:12). Certainly here Peter was antichrist as he denied Christ – “Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son” – (I Jn.2:22). And again – “Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven. But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father…” – (Mt.10:32,33). Fear made a cowardly chicken out of Peter and he denied Christ. Not only Christ, but Peter also had his trial before the priests and he denied Christ.
Peter’s boastfulness was the beginning of his downfall – (Mt.26:33-5).
He started to crow about his courage and yet he became a cowardly chicken. He
sought to warm himself by the devil’s fire with the devil’s crowed and got
burnt. He’s like the apostate ‘lukewarm’
Laodicean churches of the
We see with this plague of scorching heat – the heat of God’s anger. We see how His anger is kindled when the whole world worships Antichrist and not God’s dear Son. “...What meaneth the heat of this great anger? And the anger of the Lord was kindled against this land…” – (Du.29:24,27). The whole world ‘warms’ up to the Beast and falls in love with him and so God gives them some global warming of His own. The only anger that is justified in the Bible is righteous anger against sin.
Great concern has accompanied this one degree rise in earth’s temperature the last 100 years. Should we not give greater consideration to the great tribulation wrath of God and the great heat and scorching fire soon to come? Should we not give even greater consideration to Armageddon and the day in which all that exists shall be dissolved by fire? Now that’s global warming. This may be the greatest inconvenient truth of all, but nevertheless it is God’s truth – “But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up” – (2 Pet.3:10). We’re not talking about a measly rise in earth’s temperature of one degree, but many degrees all at once. Now that’s global warming – amen. And it won’t be heating up because of emissions etc. but because of sin.
How Al Gore got the Nobel Peace Prize for talking about global warming
is beyond me. What has global warming got to do with peace? All this worldly
peace talk just brings us closer to the battle of Armageddon like Alfred Nobel
himself. And the ‘lukewarm’ Laodicean church of the
Alfred Nobel was a Swedish chemist who invented dynamite and founded the Nobel Prizes. He combined nitroglycerin and another substance and named it ‘dynamite.’ Within a few years he became one of the world’s richest men. Then he suffered from a feeling of guilt at having created something that was used in wars and caused so much death and injury. He hated the thought that dynamite could be used in war when he had invented it for peace.
The only way this world can have peace is to be saved by Jesus Christ and make peace with God in our hearts with sins forgiven – “Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ” – (Rom.5:11). And Christ comes back at the battle of Armageddon as the Prince of Peace to rule over a world of peace and goodwill towards men and no more war. Alfred Nobel’s Peace Prize to Al Gore so that he can talk about global warming is utterly ridiculous. This is the same stupidity that gave the same peace prize to Yassar Arafat. The world has no peace because they have sin in the heart – (Jam.4:1). Sin is heating up this world for Armageddon.
Have you been saved from the heat and fire of God’s righteous wrath soon to come? “Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him” – (Rom.5:9). Even though God’s temper is rising because of the wickedness of this world, He always ‘tempers’ justice with mercy. “And the Lord passed by before him, and proclaimed, The Lord, the Lord God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abundant in goodness and truth. Keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, and that will by no means clear the guilty…” – (Ex.34:6-7). And we especially see this in His beloved Son.
God does not extend mercy by shutting His eyes to the guilty or by
saying, “I will just forget your sins.” Sin must be punished and a penalty must
be paid. God by no means clears the guilty. What happens then? How does He keep
His mercy and take care of sin at the same time? A sacrifice has been provided.
We must not concern ourselves with earth’s temperature rising one measly degree, but with the temperature on God’s thermometer of sin as he measures people’s wickedness ‘on’ the earth. Not believing God’s Word about His wrath and hell will not lessen the temperature of hell one degree.
Be saved and born again by repenting of sin and believing on Christ in your heart by faith. God loves you and gave His only begotten Son to die on the cross for you. The cross is where God tempers His just wrath with mercy. “In this was manifested the love of God toward us, because that God sent his only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him. Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins” – (I Jn.4:10,11). “That in the ages to come he might shew the exceeding riches of his grace in his kindness towards us through Christ Jesus. For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God” – (Eph.2:7,8).
Warm up to God by receiving His Son as your Savior
And you won’t have to worry about global warming during the tribulation.
