False Brethren

“And that because of false brethren unawares brought in……” (Gal.2:4).

“…in perils among false brethren” – (2 Cor.11:26).

Many born again saints are unequally yoked together in churches with false brethren and are in grave danger. The greatest peril we face, is not the wolves on the outside, but the wolves on the inside wearing sheep’s clothing, masquerading as true Christians. These false brethren may be church leaders or church members, but they have never been born again and become one of Christ’s sheep; they do not belong to the flock of Christ.

These false brethren are hypocrites. They are actors pretending to be Christian, but they are not. They, in effect, wear a mask or a religious costume, and imitate the speech of true Christians, learning all the Christian words like an actor playing a role. They give the outward appearance of being godly, but inwardly they are ungodly. They have been baptized by water into churches made by hands but have not been baptized by the Holy Spirit into the true church made without hands – “For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body…” – (I Cor.12:13). All the water in all the baptistries in all the world, cannot wash away your sins which are inward. Jesus never baptized with water, He only baptized with the Holy Spirit. No man can baptize you into the true church of Christ, only Christ can baptize you into His body, with His precious blood by the Holy Ghost.

In Bible believing, Bible preaching, salvation churches, only 20% are truly saved and born again. You say, “How do you know that?” Because preachers have honestly told me that and I find that it’s true myself. The way you find out and discern between the true and false Christians, is by checking the fruit. If you want to find out what kind of fruit a tree bears – shake the tree. Jesus said – “Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire: Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them” – (Mt.7:15-20). When you’re born again by Christ on the tree-cross, you become a new tree bringing forth good Holy Spirit fruit.

The rotten tree will cast off rotten fruit, the good tree will cast off good fruit. O, the thistle and the thorn will deceive by outwardly trying to look like a fig or a grape. The evil fruit masquerades as good fruit; they come in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are wolves. The whole point of a false prophet or preacher, or teacher, or false brethren is deception. We must check the fruit of his life. Even though he attempts to camouflage himself, the fruit of his walk and his talk will unmistakably identify what he is.

We must examine the fruit; fruits bring the discovery of the tree. You cannot distinguish them by their bark and leaves and branches, neither by their color but by their fruits. And if you know what kind of a tree he is, you will know what fruit to expect after your inspection. Never look to gather figs from thistles. Ye shall know them by their fruits.

The best example of a false prophet we have is the Pope. He deceitfully wears a costume like an actor playing the part of a pope. (And if he’s actually done some acting on the stage or movies like Jn. Paul II, that’s considered a plus by the cardinals that choose him). I wonder who is the Pope’s wardrobe designer? And the pope always seems to play transgender roles by always dressing in a skirt or a dress. And the world loves him like the celebrity star he is – “Woe unto you, when all men shall speak well of you! For so did their fathers to the false prophets” – (Lik.6:26). And it’s especially the Catholic priests – fathers who speak so well of the false prophet pope – the Holy Father. Jesus called His father the Holy Father – (Jn.17:11) and the false prophet pope blasphemously and proudly usurps God’s title for himself. He’s the idol shepherd that leads a billion Catholics into abominable idolatry.

O, the pope plays the role of a church leader very well as he travels worldwide on his religious tours, kissing the tarmac as he departs his ‘Shepherd One’ plane and as he waves to his adoring fans while riding his popemobile and living in splendor on this earth. But if you check out his fruit by the Bible, you will see he is a false brethren, a false prophet, and will be the False Prophet, the sidekick of the Antichrist-Beast. What a hypocrite – what a great deceiver. But those of us who have the Spirit of truth within us can discern what he is. With the Holy Spirit indwelling us, we are divine fruit inspectors and we shall know the difference between figs and thistles. But even with all these evil Catholic priests committing sodomy upon boys worldwide, the world can’t discern the truth.

It is written “A hypocrite with his mouth desroyeth his neighbor…” – (Prov.11:9). Here we see a hypocrite’s mouth doing evil to his fellow man. It is not only the murderer with his weapon that destroys his neighbor, but the hypocrite with his mouth causes destruction, and especially when he’s a hypocritical church member. “Death and life are in the power of the tongue” – (Prov.18:21). But no tongue is more fatal than the hypocrite’s tongue. Only God knows how much evil is done within the churches today by the unsaved, hypocrite church member. The hypocrite in the church will sing “hallelujah, praise the Lord” with his mouth in church insincerely. But he is just playing a part; he’s not praising the Lord in his heart. On the job he curses the Lord. He speaks nice to the preacher’s face and bad behind his back. And when the unsaved hypocrites have the majority in the church, they will vote the preacher out of the church if he starts to shake the trees. Tree-shaking is only done by preachers who love the praises of God more than the praises of men – amen. O the evil that is done by false brethren today.

It is written – “For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock… Therefore watch, and remember, that by the space of three years I ceased not to warn every one night and day with tears” – (Acts 20:29,31). And this Biblewatchman is warning you with this sermon to watch for the wolves; watch for the false brethren in your church. He’s a grievous wolf, an enemy of Christ and Christians on the inside, which is much deadlier. These disguised wolves, these false brethren, are the most dangerous enemies a flock can have. A wolf in sheep’s clothing can get into a flock and kill sheep for 20 years and nobody even knows he’s there. The church believes that anyone that’s a member of the church is a Christian. Many times the pastor tells them that they’re all saved because some visiting preacher shook a few branches on their trees. This kind of a pastor calls it rocking the boat, but it’s really just ‘shaking the trees’ – amen.

Most of the time churches are not destroyed by carnal Christians but by false brethren that didn’t even need a born again testimony when they joined the church. They just made some kind of three minute altar call and then got baptized with water and were received into the church. We must get rid of altar calls and have inquiry rooms to deal with salvation seekers in depth and in truth. They must be told that repentance is necessary for salvation – (Lk.24:47 – Acts 2:38 and 3:19 and 20:28) – “… but now commandeth all men every where to repent” – (Acts 17:30).

And when the wolf in sheep’s clothing stands in the pulpit as pastor, then you really have destruction. “For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works” – (2 Cor.11:13-15). In these verses we learn that the Devil has ministers in the church just as truly as God has ministers. The Devil has counterfeit churches; false churches with false ministers.

There are many churches today in which there is not one saved, born again person. The Devil has ministers, ordained and trained in denominational, Bible and theological schools. They take up the ministry as a vocation or because it’s an easy job. They like the showmanship and praise they get from men. They get a degree in religion and they get a church. They preach a liberal, false gospel. They never preach against sin, they never preach on hell and nobody gets born again in Christ. They have no more than a social club called a church with a cross on it. They are deceivers, wolves in sheep’s clothing, false brethren.

They “transform themselves”: they are not ordained of God but make themselves ministers. They dress with religious garments and many have white dog collars which identify them as wolves or wild dogs. If Satan can transform himself into an angel of light, we should not be surprised that an unsaved man may become a minister and appear to be pious and holy and stand in the pulpit and preach with a wicked deceitful heart. Satan knows he can do more harm on the inside of the church than he can on the outside. The enemy knows he can accomplish more by infiltrating from within than from without; sabotage rather than direct attack. They are imposters. And there are many more of Satan’s ministers today than God’s ministers because apostasy abounds in these end times.

Are you saved and born again? Are you baptized by the Holy Spirit and washed in the blood of Christ and received forgiveness of sins? Or are you an unsaved church member and a false brethren? These are questions that determine your eternal destination. Will you have eternal life in Heaven or eternal death in the lake of fire? When you’re born again in Christ, you absolutely know it. Because you become a new creature in Christ - “…old thing are passed away; behold all things are become new” – (2 Cor.5:17). The old man is spiritually crucified with Christ on the cross and a new man is born.

Jesus said – “That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again” – (Jn.3:6,7). Again – “Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God” – (Jn.1:13). Become a born again child of the Heavenly Father, the greatest Daddy in the universe. One day your fleshly birthday will cease, but your spiritual birthday continues forever. One day you’ll have your one billionth birthday – alleluia. Eternal life can be yours.

God loves you and gave His only begotten Son to die on the cross as your Savior. O do not spurn the love and grace and mercy of God in His beloved Son or the wrath of God abideth on you. “And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire” – (Rev.20:15).
