Borrowing Slaves

“The rich ruleth over the poor, and the borrower is servant to the lender” - (Prov.22:7).

The U.S. government has just lent 700 billion dollars to bail out the greedy, Wall Street banking houses with all their bad mortgage-backed securities. This would raise our national debt to $11.3 trillion. Our government is already spending more than $400 billion a year just to pay interest on the national debt. Our government is the major borrower and therefore it is a servant to the international bankers who lent U.S. the money. Our whole nation is in bondage to foreigners like the great dragon - China.

We have astonishing levels of debt that both the government and the American people have been heedlessly accumulating. In addition to debt at the federal, state, and local levels, corporate debt is also growing. International trade debts are growing, and individual consumer debt is exploding. Millions of American’s have borrowed far beyond their means due primarily to their own selfish and covetous wants. And very soon we will lose our freedom and liberty and go into bondage and servitude to a dictator-Antichrist. Our great sin of covetousness will place us under the rule of a wicked ruler who will take away our freedoms.

“The rich ruleth over the poor” - and never has it been like it is now. Our government that rules over U.S. is a congressional millionaire's club. The U.S. Congress abounds with rich politicians. If they’re not millionaires when they enter Congress, they soon became one. The American greenback is bipartisan, filling the pockets of Democrats and Republicans alike. And wealth buys access into political power and more and more millionaires are running for office and finance much of their campaigns themselves.

The tenth commandment is “thou shalt not covet” - (Ex.20:17). And certainly inherent in the scripture - “The wages of sin is death” - (Rom.6:3) is an economic crash because of our sin of covetousness. America's payday for their sins is starting to come to pass. It’s not the high cost of living, but the cost of high living.

Because of the fear and chaos of an economic collapse, the President-Antichrist will come and take control of the U.S. and the world economy. This will be the reason and excuse given for implementing the mark of the Beast in order to buy and sell - to restore economic order. The buying and selling on Wall Street and our covetousness, will pave the way for the buying and selling with the mark of the Beast. The Mark and the market go together.

It is written - “For the Lord thy God blesseth thee, as he promised thee: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, but thou shalt not borrow; and thou shalt reign over many nations, but they shall not reign over thee.” It is apparent that, because of our wickedness, God is no longer blessing U.S. but cursing U.S. - “He shall lend to thee, and thou shalt not lend to him: he shall be the head, and thou shalt be the tail” - (Du.15:6 - 28:44). It is no longer ‘God bless America, but God curse America.’ The ruler is the lender that holds the power of the purse.

It should be our endeavor to keep out of debt, both personally and nationally. Otherwise we will sell our liberty to gratify our luxury. Whenever money is exchanged for a fee (interest-usury) the lender holds the power and the borrower moves into a servant-submission role. If you owe money, the inevitable deadline will roll around each month. If you fall behind, you have no power to stop the fees, additional charges and mounting tally. The trap has been set and without intense effort and self-control, the bondage will only worsen. Don’t be a borrowing slave.

No age group is immune. Undergraduate college students typically rack up $2,226 in credit card debt, with graduate students charging an average $5,800 on credit cards before they graduate. There is also the $12,000 to $30,000 in student loans that they also get. If the borrower was servant to the lender in King David’s day, the modern borrower is in total bondage. Instead, young people should be ambitious and work a few years and be able to afford college and avoid being enslaved. Being in debt makes you a slave to the money man. The no money down disaster, is upon U.S.

The lenders get richer and richer because you borrow from him and pay high interest. Everything today is on plastic charge cards, landing Americans into deep debt. Last year, 1,350,000 Americans filed for bankruptcy. The average American carries a credit card debt of $3,900 each year. Paying the minimum payment each month on $3,900 will take 36 years at 20% interest to repay the loan, costing more than $10,000 in interest.

Yes, debt is a very powerful taskmaster by which most Americans are ruled. Think about the bondage of people who are controlled by drugs, alcohol, cigarettes and gambling (and the stock market is the biggest gamble). Well, most people don’t realize that being in debt is the same kind of bondage and slavery. Jesus said - “And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free” - (Jn.8:32). And God’s Word is truth. Will you obey His truth concerning debt? You can be free from the bondage of debt to lenders. It means being free to take a lower paying job you love, rather than a high-paying stressful job you hate. It means choosing to work less so you have more time with your family. It means trading the pleasures and lusts of this world for the joy and liberty of knowing that you are owned by no one but the Lord Jesus. The greatest treasure you can have is to be saved and born again and have Christ in you, who is eternal riches.

Many marriages are being destroyed today because of covetousness and the borrowing and debt that is the result of it. Many times wives must work to pay the bills and the children are farmed out to others to raise and divorce comes. The family is the basic building block of society and our country is falling apart because of covetousness. Jesus said - “Take heed, and beware of covetousness: for a man’s life consisteth not in the abundance of things which he possesseth” - (Lk.12:15). Are you taking heed and bewaring of it O Christian? Or are you following the foolishness of the world? The love of money is the root of all evil - beware.

Jesus said - “Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal: but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through nor steal: For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also” - (Mt.6:19-21). You cannot have it both ways; it’s one way or the other because only one can be our master. “No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon” - (Mt.6:24). Being covetous steals our heart away from the Lord Jesus. O saint of God, do not follow this covetous world and their rush for gold because gold has 666 written upon it - (I Kings.10:14). Don’t chase after fool’s gold.

Big banks and big corporations are now borrowing billions of dollars from the government, but the government becomes part owners and rulers. The borrowing banks become servants to the government lenders and it’s a move away from democratic freedom toward the bondage of socialism. Goldman Sachs is one of the borrowing banks and the Treasury Secretary is a former Goldman man, or should I say, ‘Gold Man.’ Mr. Paulson is putting the gold back into ‘Goldman’s sacks.’ Soon the Devil’s ‘Gold Man’ - Mr. 666 - will become president and control our economic system.

Be saved and have the riches of Christ - “The unsearchable riches of Christ” - (Eph.3:8). And turn your back on the riches of this world like Moses did. “By faith Moses, when he was come to years, refused to be called the son of Pharoah’s daughter; Choosing rather to suffer afffliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season; Esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt: for he had respect unto the recompense of the reward” - (Heb.11:24-26).

Seen through worldly eyes, Pharaoh's kingdom must have been glorious and magnificent; but God showed Moses a King and a kingdom far beyond anything Egypt could offer. To have been Pharaoh’s grandson would have brought great reward; but by faith Moses forsook it for a better eternal reward. He turned his back on the riches and treasures of this temporal life for the promise of heavenly riches and treasures that last forever.

He chose to suffer affliction with the people of God which he could have escaped by being Pharaoh's grandson. He could have enjoyed the pleasure of Egypt as well as it’s wealth and lived like a prince or maybe the king; but he turned away from earthly pleasures and wealth that last but a season, for the pleasures of eternal life. He chose to be poor in this world, but rich in faith, which is a million times better than being president of the U.S. and world emperor. Moses made the right choice - what choice will you make? If ever this world put on a fair disguise and made itself attractive, it did so for Moses. By faith he refused it all for “pie in the sky, bye and bye.” - amen. O Christian, be content with such things as you have. Don’t covet anything that is thy neighbors.

Are you saved and born again and a saint of God? If not, then repent of your sins, and by faith believe on Christ in your heart and you will become a new born again creature in Christ. Born again describes what happens to you when you’re truly saved. “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new” - (I Cor.5:17). Receive Christ who is the truth and you will have the Spirit of truth in you and then obey God’s Word of truth. And then you will be separated from this world and their foolish lust after money and possessions and set your eyes upon heaven and eternal life. “And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son” - (I Jn.5:11). Be born again and don’t be a borrowing slave. It’s the end of the old life and the beginning of a new life in Christ.
