“If any man love not the Lord Jesus Christ, let him be Anathema Maranatha – (I Cor.16:22).
Anathema means ‘accursed’ and Maranatha means ‘our Lord cometh.’ And Anathema Maranatha means ‘cursed at the second coming of Christ.’ I’m preaching a very solemn warning with my watchman’s trumpet. Today, God’s Word pronounces a curse on all the unsaved at His soon second coming. It stands as a warning to all atheists and religious people; to all the fake believers and make believers and professing church members who refuse to love the Lord Jesus in sincerity and truth and have never been born again into the family of God. They refuse to repent and stay in their pride and sins.
All who have never been saved, lie under the heaviest and most dreadful curse (anathema), no matter what outward profession they make. “If any man love me, he will keep my words; and my Father will love him, and he will come unto him and make our abode with him” – (Jn.14:23). Those that love Jesus, keep His words – “Ye must be born again” – (Jn.3:7). Then the Holy Spirit abides within him and he becomes a new creature in Christ. Jesus is the Word of God and if you love Jesus, you’ll love the Word of God. Jesus is coming soon (Maranatha) and if you’re saved you love Him and never curse Hi m.
Those who have never been born again are cursed and this will be manifested upon them when the true Christians are raptured up and they’re left to endure the wrath of God during the Great Tribulation. The born again children of God are the blessed “When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory: and before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats. And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left. Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels” – (Mt.25:31-34,41). Cursed at His second coming – Anathema Maranatha. They are – “…nigh unto cursing: whose end is to be burned” – (Heb.6:8). Christ is cursed millions of times a day worldwide, but Christ will give the last curse. “Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire” – amen.
‘Curse’ is the last word in the O.T. before Christ our Savior comes in the N.T. to redeem believers from the curse of sin. “For, behold, the day cometh, that shall burn as an oven; and all the proud, yea, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall burn them up… Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord, and he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers, lest I come and smite the earth with a curse” – (Mal.4:1,5,6). The great and dreadful day of the Lord is the great tribulation ending with Armageddon and a fiery holocaust worldwide – (2 Pet.3:10). Before the day comes, God will send two witnesses with the Spirit and power of Elijah. They will preach repentance and faith in Christ for salvation and with miracles and the power of God – (Rev.11:3-12). And then Christ smites the earth with a fiery curse.
Are you saved from the wrath of God? Have you been redeemed by the blood of Christ and been born again? Are you saved from the curse of God? “Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is everyone that hangeth on a tree” – (Gal.3:13). Only Christ can save from a fiery curse ‘on’ this earth during the Tribulation and a fiery curse ‘in’ the earth in hell. Sin started on a tree in Eden and sin is forgiven by Christ on the tree-cross. When you’re saved by Christ, He becomes a curse for you and you’re no longer under the curse of God.
If you’re not saved, repent of your sins and believe on Christ in your heart by faith and you will receive forgiveness of sins and become a new born again creature in Christ. “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new” – (2 Cor.5:17). O do not spurn the love and grace of God in His beloved Son on the cross or the wrath and curse of God is still upon you. Conquer your death, both the first death and the second death in the lake of fire – (Rev.20:15) and receive eternal life. “He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and; he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him” – (Jn.3:36). Remember these solemn words of warning – Anathema Maranatha – cursed at the second coming of Christ.
