The Two Beasts – Admired by the World
“And I saw one of his heads as it were wounded to death; and his deadly wound was healed: and all the world wondered after the beast” – (Rev.13:3).
“And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus: and when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration. The beast that thou sawest was, and is not; and shall ascend out of the bottomless pit, and go into perdition: and they that dwell on the earth shall wonder, whose names were not written in the book of life from the foundation of the world, when they behold the beast that was, and is not, and yet is” – (Rev.17:6,8).
Dec.26,2008 – A month before his inauguration, Americans chose Barack Obama as the man they admire most in the world, and the pope was the fourth most admired man in the world, according to a new USA Today poll.
Admire means (to wonder – to like very much
- to esteem highly). The Bible tells us
that the world admires the two Beasts, Antichrist and the False Prophet, they
wonder with great admiration. These two men are the President-Antichrist of the
Another reason that the world admires the Beast is because of his great oratory. “A mouth speaking great things” – (Dan.7:8-Rev.13:5). Again – “…And their mouth speaketh great swelling words, having men’s persons in admiration because of advantage” – (Jude 16). The world will admire the Antichrist so much they will worship him as God and worship his image. Antichrist the emperor will be worshipped as Caesar was, worldwide worship. Because they rejected Christ the truth, God turns them over to strong delusion to believe the lie of Antichrist – (2 Thes.2:10-12). Unsaved people follow the two beasts because “they are of the world: therefore speak they of the world, and the world heareth them” – (I Jn.4:5). They think the two Beasts are so wonderful.
The world showed their hatred for Christ by crucifying Him on the cross and persecuting and murdering the remnant that believed in Him. “He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him: he was despised, and we esteemed him not” – (Is.53:3). Jesus said – “If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you. If you were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you… If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you…” – (Jn.15:18-20). The unsaved world’s love and admiration for the two Beasts will also spur the persecution and murder of God’s Tribulation saints who will not receive the mark of the Beast or worship and admire him. “…for that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of God.”- (Lk.16:15). The world’s esteem for the Two Beasts is an abomination to God. Antichrist and the satanic holy father, who causes the whole world to commit abominable idolatry and worship the image of the beast, as one billion Catholics already do.
But Christ and His saints will be admired at His second coming – “When he shall come to be admired in all them that believe (because our testimony among you was believed) in that day” – (2 Thes.1:10). Then King Jesus will be glorified and admired by His saints worldwide. We shall love Him and highly esteem Him as the true emperor over planet earth as we rule and reign with Him forever. There will be no false gods on earth, Christ alone will be Lord of Lords and King of Kings – (Zech.14:9). Christ will be admired, loved, esteemed and worshipped – forever and ever. He is the wonder of wonders. “…Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing” – (Rev.5:12). Then that which is despised among men is highly esteemed by God.
Are you saved and born again? Born again describes what happens to you when you’re truly saved. Your old man dies with Christ on the cross spiritually and you become a new man with a new heart and a new Holy Spirit indwelling you. “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new” – (2 Cor.5:17). You will be saved from both the first death of the body and the second death in the lake of fire. You will receive eternal life. O do not spurn the love and grace of God in His beloved Son on the cross. Repent of your sins and believe on Christ in your heart by faith and you will be saved and born again and the wrath of God no longer abides upon you.
